TEARS Social Enterprise!
TEARS strive to transform and enhance the capacity of local communities to take charge and ownership in supporting the development initiative within their local communities. This is aimed through enhanced community ownership and partnership to community projects supported by different development partners and stakeholders including the Government and donor agency,
TEARS Social Enterprise Model.
As a model Organization for self sustainability ,TEARS has initiative income generating programs like fashion and clothing (school uniforms ,Bags ,casual wear) ,Events management and Organization ( through hire of services like Tents ,Chairs ,Music and Sound systems and Entertainment for corporate and public functions both targeting the community and the networking partners and Vocational Training services ( Entrepreneurship and creative Talents development). Currently TEARS program is open both to the economically fit and less fortunate in accessing equal services especially in the Training program (Computer, Music, Fashion and designing cloth line, Fine Arts .The Training Program assesses the capability of each client interested in accessing TEARS Training Programs and charges different fees, This has enabled TEARS to leverage on resources and income thus able to support more clients in accessing TEARS services and community transformation. This model seek to enhance TEARS partnership with other development partners supporting education, vocational training and enterprise development.
Partners Supporting this Social Enterprise include; Help Mission Development Services, Pangea (Giving for Global Change), Hewlett Packard, UNIDO among others.
